Embedding the online shop iframe on to your website removes the additional step of directing a customer to make the booking on a separate website hosted by Rentle. For consumers, being able to make bookings under one website domain adds clarity and, in general, makes the online shopping experience more coherent with your brand.
The iframe is a piece of HTML code that you add to the section of your website where you want the online shop to appear. The specific instructions, how, and where on the page to paste the iframe code, depends on the content management system (CMS) that you use. Links to the documentation of the most used CMS can be found at the bottom of the article.
If you know where to add the iframe code, the embedding is easy. Go to the Settings of your Rentle account and select the channels -tab. Under the Online store -section copy the short piece of code and paste it to the right place in the HTML editor of your website.
Note: if your website has multiple language versions, remember to change the Embed language for each language version.
Embed view starting from selecting the products within a product category
You can embed the view presenting your product listing of a specific product category by replacing the URL between quotation marks with the URL that is shown in your Rentle online shop after selecting the product category. Simply copy the URL and paste it between the quotation marks. See the image below.
Embed view starting from a specific product view
Embedding a specific product view is also possible by using the same logic, as explained earlier. The only difference is that you have to copy the product ID and add it at the end of the URL that's inside the quotation marks of the iframe code.
You can find product ID by going to the Products -page in the admin panel and selecting the right product. The ID that you are looking for is circled in the image below.
Finally, the URL that is pasted between the quotation marks should be in the form of "rentle.shop/your-shop-url/category-id/products/product-id?lang=en"
NOTE: when embedding the category or product view, remember to add the language slug (?lang=en) at the end of the URL. Find the correct language codes here.
